Vintage 1972 Olympic Poster for Cycling from the Munich games printed in Germany by Franz, Rehm, Verlag, München. 23.5 x 33.5 inches in excellent condition. Foto by Longines. This is a rare 1972 vintage lithograph, not a Kennedy Graphics reproduction. In 1966 Otl Aicher (1922-1991), a pioneer German Graphic designer and typographer, was asked by the organizers of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich to become the Olympic Games' lead designer. Aicher specified that all the individual sport posters start with a photograph. This one by Robert Livingston. The images were solarized by to achieve unusual effects & printed in bright color combinations. Poster will be rolled and shipped in a tube.
